NBA 2K Play Will Let You Join Tournaments For Real Money From Your Couch

As a gaming enthusiast for years now, I’ve witnessed the rise of competitive gaming scenes in various genres worldwide. Now, it seems like the dream of bringing those high-stakes tourneys right into my living room is becoming a reality! 2K Sports and The Play Company have teamed up to launch NBA 2K Play – an exciting new venture that will let me jump into cash tournaments for NBA 2K25, straight from the main menu screen.

In simpler terms, owners of NBA 2K25 can participate in weekly tournaments for money rewards, which may also feature special events hosted by famous personalities and professional basketball players. These tournaments will include both real-life NBA rosters and custom teams built within MyTEAM. A new button on the Play Now screen will provide access to each week’s tournament.

The NBA 2K Play tournament series is going to be unique for its game title, being the first to have a separate menu button dedicated specifically to it. At present, there is no announced date for when the NBA 2K Play service will start, along with details about prizes or scheduled major events yet to be revealed.

In 2019, Brandon Pitts established The Play Company, which was previously known as One Up. This company serves as a platform for gamers to interact, challenge each other, and win cash rewards through the Play One Up app. Currently, the app hosts competitions in games like NBA 2K, Madden, among others. Last year, The Play Company collaborated with 2K Sports for the One Up X NBA 2K24 Championship Series.

I’m thrilled to share that I just got my hands on NBA 2K25! It’s now ready for you on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. Let the games begin!
