Naval combat comes to Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord via DLC this June

Bannerlord. This expansion was unveiled in a trailer during today’s Future Games Show. If you wish to watch the full two-hour stream showcasing fifty-five distinct games, I suggest you do so. The expansion for Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is titled “War Sails” and is set to launch on June 17th.

During today’s Future Games Show viewing, it was hard to miss the buzz surrounding the game Mount & Blade in the live chat. With around ten thousand viewers tuning in, there were already hundreds of excited fans gearing up for the DLC reveal well before the stream even started. Luckily, they weren’t left hanging like those still waiting for updates on Hollow Knight: Silksong in every video game showcase livestream out there. There was no such anticipation unfulfilled today.

Exploring the New Content of ‘Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord‘ – The War Sails DLC”

Body: “Developed by TaleWorlds Entertainment and launched in the year 2022, ‘Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord’ is a popular RPG strategy game. This latest addition, known as the DLC, introduces an entirely new faction to the game along with naval combat. The War Sails trailer, aptly named, emphasized ship-to-ship combat. We saw soldiers firing arrows across ships, while others rammed into each other for boarding and engaged in fierce melee battles.

If you’re new to this game, as I was before today, ‘Mount & Blade 2’ is a massive medieval sandbox that allows players to explore, conquer, and engage in real-time strategic battles across an expansive map. Players also lead their armies into battle, where combat skills are put to the test.

In the trailer, we’re introduced to a fresh group of adversaries: the Nords. They bear a striking resemblance to Vikings, as evident in their ships, weapons, and armor. This new faction presents an exciting opportunity for players to either ally with or engage against them. With a larger world to explore, the option to build your own navy, and the DLC’s launch on June 17th this summer, there’s plenty more to conquer!
