You can now watch a live stream of adorable sled dog puppies growing up at Denali National Park in Alaska! They’re being trained to become the park’s next generation of canine rangers.
People all over the world are currently watching a heartwarming livestream of five adorable Alaskan Husky puppies as they grow up.
These unbelievably cute puppies – Mesa, Sequoia, Rainier, Mammoth, and Teton – were born on March 30, 2026, making them a little over a month old as of today.
These puppies were given names inspired by national parks because the theme for this year’s group is ‘America’s Best Idea,’ a tribute to the 250th anniversary of the United States.

These puppies aren’t just cute faces – they’re being trained to be sled dogs! Park rangers at Denali National Park believe sled dogs are the most effective way to patrol the park’s rough, snowy areas during winter.
Dog sledding, or mushing, is a long-standing cultural practice in Alaska, with roots stretching back thousands of years. It’s also the most reliable way for the National Park Service to monitor and protect large, remote wilderness areas throughout the winter.
These dogs were specifically bred to thrive in cold weather and work well together. They have features like long legs for moving through deep snow, paws that prevent ice buildup, and thick fur and fluffy tails to stay warm in freezing temperatures.

Two of the five puppies being raised at Denali National Park will soon join mushing teams in Fairbanks, Alaska. Plus, another puppy named Acadia, born on April 3th at Middle Earth Mushing Kennels, will be added to the program later on.
I’m so excited about the new puppies at Denali National Park! For the first couple of months, they’ll mostly be nursing from their mom and getting lots of sleep – can you imagine how cute? Then, around six weeks, they’ll start eating solid food, and the park rangers are planning to let both adults and kids gently handle them. It’s all to help them grow into friendly, well-adjusted pups, which is amazing!
Around six months old, puppies start training with sled dog teams, getting used to wearing harnesses. By eight months, they officially join the teams and typically have hundreds of miles of running experience by the end of their first winter.
Okay, so Denali isn’t the only place where you can watch animals online! Alveus Animal Sanctuary, run by this awesome Twitch streamer Maya Higa, does it too. They just had an art auction featuring stuff made by their staff and the animals themselves, and raised over $114,000! It’s pretty cool to see a gaming community supporting wildlife like that.
