Nathan Fillion’s latest crime show is a huge success on Netflix, becoming a global hit. He recently appeared as the DC character Guy Gardner in the movie Superman, and will reprise the role in HBO’s Lanterns series, scheduled for 2026. Lanterns is expected to have a similar dark and serious tone to the show True Detective.

Shows like Run Away, based on Harlan Coben’s novel, have become huge hits for Netflix, even outperforming Stranger Things. As reported by Deadline, the first episode of The Rookie‘s eighth season had the most views of any premiere in the show’s history. Disney, which owns ABC, measures success by dividing the total hours viewed by the episode’s length. This premiere also ranked among the top five most-watched ABC premieres ever on both Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
