Natasha Lyonne recently shared with her fans that she’s regained her stability after a recent relapse following a decade of sobriety. She expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support she received.
She shared on March 19th that her daughter is recovering well and is back on her feet. She expressed gratitude to the recovery community and her supporters for their kindness and encouragement. While she wants to keep the details of the journey private for now, she hopes to share her experiences and offer hope when the time is right, and sent her support to anyone facing similar challenges.
In late January, Natasha Lyonne publicly shared that she had experienced a relapse in a couple of posts that have since been removed. She wrote that recovery is a continuous, lifelong journey and encouraged anyone struggling to remember they aren’t alone. She expressed gratitude for the support she received and stated she was determined to keep going, especially for her child, Bambo. Lyonne urged people to be honest with themselves, acknowledging that holding onto secrets can be damaging, and ended with a message of love and encouragement, reminding everyone that even after setbacks, their experiences can help others. She encouraged them to persevere, believing that positive change is always possible and that focusing on love is key.
Natasha Lyonne is working on a new film called Bambo, which she’ll write and direct. The movie follows a boxing promoter in New York who is trying to manage both his work and family life. Previously, she announced her first directorial project would be Uncanny Valley, a film from her AI production company, Asteria, that would use both AI and traditional filmmaking methods – a plan that received some negative reactions. Her show Poker Face, directed by Rian Johnson, was canceled by Peacock in November 2025 after two seasons, but reports say it’s being offered to other networks, potentially with Peter Dinklage taking over the lead role from Lyonne.
