WME gets to rev its talent-representation engines with a new client, NASCAR great Jimmie Johnson.
The seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion has chosen an agency for comprehensive representation across all aspects of his career. This partnership aims to expand his impact through team ownership, collaborations with brands, entrepreneurial ventures, and media, including his podcast on Sirius XM titled “Never Settle,” which he co-hosts with Marty Smith.
From 2006 to 2010, Johnson clinched five NASCAR Cup Series titles in a row, earning him a spot among the most distinguished drivers in motorsports. To date, his seven NASCAR Cup wins are jointly the highest number ever achieved by a driver. Over the course of his career, he has amassed 83 victories, including two triumphs at the Daytona 500. Until 2019, Johnson was the only racer to have qualified for the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs every year since its inception in 2004. He currently holds the records for both the longest streak and total number of playoff appearances.
This individual has featured in movies and television shows such as “Herbie: Fully Loaded,” “Las Vegas,” and “Superstore.” He also lent his voice to a character named Jimmie, an animated lobster, on the children’s show “Bubble Guppies.” Additionally, he made an appearance in the music video for the Avett Brothers’ song “Ain’t No Man.
Currently, he operates the No. 84 Toyota Camry XSE on a part-time basis for Legacy Motor Club, a venture in which he owns a share. Additionally, WME has been appointed to offer strategic guidance for this racing organization.
Johnson has been a racing enthusiast since childhood, starting out with motorcycles and later transitioning into off-road competitions. Subsequently, he participated in stock-car races and ultimately advanced to some of NASCAR’s most prestigious races.
