Naomi Explains Why She Wants a Brutal Stipulation Match with Jade Cargill

Among the WWE’s roster of women, it’s hard to find anyone more suitable or long overdue to claim the Money in the Bank briefcase than Naomi, who has qualified for the career-altering ladder match on four separate occasions.

A highly experienced athlete, known for acrobatic moves, who’s been with WWE for over 12 years, surprised fans in March by switching allegiance to the villain role and confessing that she had attacked her former friend, Jade Cargill.

Naomi’s brutal rule continues in WWE’s women’s division, with Los Angeles being the latest target. In this city, she will face off against five other competitors in the Money in the Bank ladder match. This contest offers a guaranteed title shot as a reward. Prior to the Money in the Bank event of 2025, Naomi shared her thoughts on becoming a villain, coveted world title rivalries, and the ideal stipulation to conclude her feud with Jade, in an interview with EbMaster.

For nearly a decade, fans have associated her with an energetic and infectious persona that loves bright colors. However, Naomi reveals that her choice to undergo a transformation was something she had been contemplating for quite some time.

For some time now, she’s been pondering over her future plans – where she wants to be and what she desires to experience if a change is imminent. What she yearns for is something radically different, something that breaks the mold. She seeks an escape from the vibrant, glowing, neon-colored, and bubbly aspects of life.

As I’d just acted towards Jade and left behind a crime scene, the thought occurred to me – wow, this works perfectly. After all, caution tape is universally recognized. Everyone understands its significance when they come across it.

Naomi has adopted a “Proceed With Caution” philosophy in her life, which led to a change in her entrance theme song. Instead of her heavy bass “GLOW” tune, she now uses an intense alt-rock track with passionate, high-pitched vocals. When she first heard it, she exclaimed, “That was wild!

I really enjoyed it! This time around, I yearned for something fresh and edgy. As you know, I’m a fan of alternative rock, and when I asked for new tunes, I was able to suggest some ideas. To be clear, I wanted a rock sound instead of the EDM or hip-hop feel from my previous works. Overall, I’m really pleased with the end result.

Though Naomi felt content with her fresh, more daring appearance and demeanor, she had been apprehensive about how the fans would react to such a significant transformation in her character. “It’s exactly what I hoped for,” she exclaims enthusiastically. “It’s satisfying to be able to alter people’s perception of me so quickly.

I was certainly apprehensive about this change, as I’ve been perceived as a strong and virtuous character for quite some time. To suddenly flip the script – there’s always uncertainty about how it will turn out or if audiences will accept it. That presented a significant hurdle for me.

Absolutely, spectators have indeed taken interest in Naomi’s heel turn, and her ongoing conflict with Jade has evolved into one of the most intense, enduring WWE feuds of 2025. They’ve been exchanging jabs on social platforms or meddling in each other’s matches, creating quite a stir among fans about who is justified in their dispute. This feud has even sparked debates among fans about which member of the former “big three” is in the right.

What matters most to me is witnessing the audience’s reaction and their real-time responses. It’s essential for me because my fans are actively participating with me during the performance. I can definitely sense the enthusiasm, so I plan on continuing with my current approach, which involves being completely unapologetically bold.

Despite her “extremely harsh” behavior earning her a place in the 2025 Money in the Bank Ladder match, it will take more than just being tough to outshine a group that boasts former WWE, NXT, CMLL, NJPW, Stardom, and ROH Women’s World Champions.

When asked to briefly summarize her fellow Money in the Bank competitors, Naomi refers to Rhea Ripley as “muscular” and “large mother figure,” while describing Stephanie Vaquer as “demonic.

According to Naomi, Alexa Bliss, the previous Money in the Bank winner, is “fierce,” while she sees Giulia as “madness with beauty,” which reflects her name. Completing the roster is 23-year-old Roxanne Perez, whom Naomi refers to as a “baby fresh from the womb.

Should Naomi manage to outsmart, endure longer, or merely scale higher than her four other contenders, she’ll secure the Money in the Bank contract – a briefcase filled with documents promising a title match opportunity anywhere, anytime within the following year. The holder of the Money in the Bank can challenge any champion they desire, and Naomi has set her sights on none other than the current WWE Women’s Champion, Tiffany Stratton.

She expresses her desire to win the major title, as Tiffany’s challenging behavior throughout the competition hasn’t been easily brushed off.

Though claiming the Stratton title would serve as a delayed revenge for Naomi, it would also mark her initial reign as a single champion in the WWE since 2017.

She muses, “I’ve typically won a championship every five to six years during my career. If I manage to win another one, it would be around seven or eight years since my last title. For me, it’s not just about winning, but about the process, the struggle, and the achievement. I don’t want victory unless it’s truly deserved and hard-earned. Time will reveal if I can maintain this momentum as the ‘Caution Queen’.

Winning and claiming Stratton’s title would mean that Naomi would join an exclusive group of three championship holders in her family: she is married to wrestler Jimmy Uso, whose twin brother Jey Uso currently owns the WWE World Championship, while her sister-in-law Jacob Fatu holds the WWE United States Championship.

She expresses her gratitude, saying it’s truly a gift. They provide an abundance of fuel and inspiration for her, as she’s joined this family through marriage and is immersed in the company of extraordinary wrestlers who are deeply knowledgeable about this industry.

It motivates me to strive for goodness – I don’t want to be the one lagging among my family members! I don’t want to be the one who fails to contribute to our collective success. They have truly inspired me to match their efforts, to emulate their excellence, and to uphold the esteemed family legacy I am a part of.

In 2025, should I find myself reigning as the Naomi Women’s World Champion, I wouldn’t be particular about who steps up to challenge me. I’m ready for anyone willing to test their skills against mine.

Anyone can access it. There’s an abundance of fresh talent around, which creates numerous potential pairings for me. I’d be thrilled to compete against Rhea [Rhipley] and Iyo [Sky] at this level. As for Becky [Lynch], during our time here, we haven’t really faced off in a title-worthy match, but she undoubtedly remains one of the top-ranked women in our division.

She goes on to say that Bayley is one of her closest friends. They haven’t had much chance to discuss the current situation yet, but she hopes Bayley will understand and support her. There are so many women – Roxanne, Giulia, and others – who have recently come into the picture. She’s considering approaching some of these women at NXT, possibly offering them a challenge, and perhaps extending a helping hand in the process.

Vaquer, Perez, and Giulia have recently been called up to the main roster from NXT, but Naomi mentioned that there are several other female athletes in WWE’s developmental branch who she is keeping an eye on, such as former NXT North American Champion Kelani Jordan.

I have quite a few whom I hold dear. What truly captivates me are the women who appear to be so kind and innocent, yet often find themselves being exploited. Kelani [Jordan] is a prime example. I’d like to offer guidance to a couple of these women, and demonstrate what transpires when they decide to take control and unleash their inner strength.

In October 2024, Jordan joined forces with the reigning tag-team duo, Cargill and Belair, during their visit to NXT for a six-woman tag team match. At that time, Naomi was an active roster member. She expressed her displeasure about being replaced from what she called “the big three,” which informally referred to the trio consisting of herself, Cargill, and Belair.

They’ve been subtly undermining me and making small, annoying gestures all along, but when I took action, they couldn’t deal with it. They’ve been toying with me, they’ve been sidelining me, they’ve been treating me as if I were interchangeable in this trio, this team. However, their true colors have now come out, revealing that I am the standout among the ‘big three’.

Despite losing to Cargill at WrestleMania, Naomi asserts that their rivalry is far from concluded and she’s eager to settle their disputes once and for all, preferably in a high-stakes match with more intense stipulations. “Indeed, I want a match with stipulations for Jade,” she declares.

Can we fight anywhere or is it last woman standing? Either way, I’m open. Which one might cause her the most pain? The most intense battle perhaps? How about a Casket Match? I’m interested in using my razor blades.
