As a long-time admirer of Nadeshot’s gaming prowess and business acumen, I must say that his recent subathon has left me utterly astounded! From being a household name in Call of Duty to becoming one of the most-subscribed Twitch streamers in the world, it’s been quite the journey.

Previously renowned Call of Duty prodigy, Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, currently ranks among the world’s top-subscribed Twitch broadcasters, with only heavyweights such as Kai Cenat and Jynxzi ahead of him. This significant surge in popularity is largely attributed to his recent, highly successful subathon.

In the height of Black Ops 2’s popularity, Nadeshot was well-known on streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube, consistently drawing in thousands of viewers for his live broadcasts.

Initially thriving as the CEO and founder of 100 Thieves in his professional life, there was a noticeable decrease in his content output, leading some to believe that it would require a remarkable event for him to return to regular streaming.

2024 marks a shift for me, stepping away from my daily responsibilities at 100 Thieves to fully immerse myself in the world of streaming. I’ve been gradually expanding my presence there.

It wasn’t until November 1, 2024, when he began his subathon, that the number of his subscribers skyrocketed dramatically.

Through several subscriber achievement targets such as OpTic Gaming and HBR tattoo-related goals, Nadeshot saw a surge in subscribers totaling approximately 35,000 at the point of this writing, having reached the limit during his subathon on November 11.

During his livestream, he gained enough subscribers to reach over 48,000, making him the fifth most subscribed streamer on Twitch, as per TwitchTracker’s statistics, who currently count him as being just under 47,000 subscribers.

The only streamers ahead of him are Kai Cenat, Jynxzi, HasanAbi, and CaseOh.

Here’s my attempt: Right now, I’m deep into my personal Subathon marathon, aiming to snatch back the throne for the most subscribed Twitch streamer of all time. That title was grabbed by Ironmouse in October, but I’ve got my sights set on reclaiming it!

In November, Hasan also saw an increase in subscribers due to the U.S. Presidential Election, which made it quite challenging for Nadeshot to close the gap of about 40,000 subscribers, particularly during a capped subathon event.

Before starting his continuous live stream, Nadeshot disclosed that he had been diagnosed with an uncommon eye disorder, necessitating surgery.
