‘Mythic Quest’ Season 4 and ‘Side Quest’ Companion Series Set Apple TV+ Premiere Dates

As a die-hard fan of captivating storytelling and immersive worlds, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming seasons of “Mythic Quest” and its companion series “Side Quest” on Apple TV+! Having spent countless hours exploring the dynamic universe of gaming and the intricate lives of its characters in various titles, these shows have always managed to strike a perfect balance between humor, drama, and relatability.

The fourth season of “Mythic Quest” and the debut of its accompanying series, titled “Side Quest,” have confirmed their release dates on Apple TV+.

Beginning January 29, the fourth season of ‘Mythic Quest’ will premiere, airing two fresh episodes initially, and a new episode each Wednesday up until March 26. Then, all four episodes of ‘Side Quest’ will be released on March 26.

It was exclusively revealed by EbMaster that “Side Quest,” formerly known as “Mere Mortals,” received a series order from Apple at the end of December 2022. The series is rumored to emulate the style of standalone episodes seen in “Mythic Quest” with episodes like “A Dark Quiet Death,” “Backstory!,” and “Everlight.” The official synopsis suggests that it delves into the lives of various individuals connected to the game, including employees, players, and fans, through an anthology format. Rob McElhenney, Anna Konkle, Derek Waters, William Stanford Davis, Bria Henderson, Rome Flynn, Leonard Robinson, Gary Kraus, Annamarie Kasper, Esai Morales, Shalta Grant, and others are set to play leading roles in each episode.

McElhenney is a cast member of the series “Mythic Quest,” which features Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Danny Pudi, Ashly Burch, Imani Hakim, Jessie Ennis, and Naomi Ekperigin as well. The show premiered in 2020, and its third season ended in January 2023.

Both series are produced by Lionsgate, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Ubisoft.

The television series “Mythic Quest” was developed by Charlie McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Megan Ganz. Each of them holds the role of executive producer, with McElhenney and Day doing so under their RCG label. Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel serve as executive producers on behalf of 3Arts, while Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, and Gérard Guillemot perform these duties for Ubisoft Film & Television. Additionally, Hornsby is also an executive producer for the show.

I’m particularly fond of the intriguing game titled “Side Quest,” which boasts an impressive team of creators led by Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris, and Katie McElhenney. Additionally, Ganz, Rob McElhenney, Hornsby, Day, Todd Biermann, Frenkel, Rotenberg, Boykin, and Genevieve Jones are also part of the executive producing team for this remarkable project.
