MTG Bloomburrow – Animated Army Full Deck Reveal

As a seasoned Magic: The Gathering (MTG) player with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that the Animated Army preconstructed deck has piqued my interest. With its unique theme of artifact vehicles and tokens, it presents an intriguing challenge.

The upcoming MTG release, Bloomburrow from Wizards of the Coast, comes with four prepared commander decks. Among them is the Animated Army deck, headed by Bello, Bard of the Brambles. This deck specializes in bringing artifacts and enchantments to life, enabling Bello to turn non-creature artifacts or enchantments into a horde of creatures.

The query remains open: will Animated Army prove to be a formidable commander deck for Magic: The Gathering with this entire deck list revealed?

MTG Animated Army Commander Deck

Starting August 2, 2024, Magic: The Gathering’s Bloomburrow commander decks from the preconstructed series will hit local game stores. Prices may vary among different stores, ranging approximately between $47 and $50.

As a fellow gamer eagerly looking forward to the new Bloomburrow preconstructed decks, let me share some exciting insights about the upcoming Animated Army deck!

Commander

Each prepacked deck usually includes two commander cards. Currently, we know only one of them as the main commander.

Bello, Bard of the BramblesMTG Bloomburrow – Animated Army Full Deck Reveal

In the world of MTG Animated Army, gameplay centered around Bello, Bard of the Brambles, will be heavily influenced by his unique abilities. As a three-color commander with a cost of one generic, one red, and one green mana, Bello holds the power to transform artifacts and enchantments into living creatures.

While managing their turn, any non-equipment artifact or enchantment without an aura that the controller possesses and bears a mana value of 4 or more transforms into a 4/4 Elemental creature with Indestructible, Haste, and the ability: whenever it deals combat damage to a player, its controller draws a card.

If a player strategically employs Bello, the Enchanted Bard, there’s a risk he may become ineffective or even unfunctional in their deck. However, for Animated Land owners, utilizing Bello brings significant benefits. Their artifacts and enchantments come to life as creatures during their turn, granting them the flexibility to fully harness their power. Moreover, since their Elemental creatures possess Indestructible, they can avoid direct confrontations with opponents. Lastly, an abundance of Elemental creatures dealing damage to a player results in easy acquisition of additional cards, enhancing the potential for a card advantage.
