MrBeast roasted for comparing Beast Games to Invincible

YouTube star Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has been roasted by some social media users after trying to compare his Beast Games series to Invincible.

Over the years, there have been plenty of attempts to take YouTube stars and put their style of videos onto television to try and make the jump there. The majority of these have flopped, and in big ways too, but MrBeast has had some success.

His Beast Games series, which was shown on Amazon Prime Video, became a bit of a hit for the streaming service. The popularity of it has also seen other outlets trying to look for more influencer content too as they want to replicate the success of Beast Games.

Although it has been well received by many, there have still been some negative reviews. Some people argue that it bears too much resemblance to Squid Game. This criticism was also made by IGN, who gave it a rating of one out of five stars.

Donaldson found the review quite irritating, asserting that the assessment appeared to be biased against him, coming from a single individual who seems to hold a personal dislike towards him.

He criticized them again over their review of Invincible, posting: “IGN just gives the opposite of the correct rating. First Beast Games and now Invincible? Y’all crazy.”

It didn’t take long for the internet to roast him for that comparison. “Mr Beast trying to sneakily compare his s**tty gameshow to Invincible has gotta be one of the funniest things he’s ever pulled,” one said.

“Sit this one out buddy, you’re not one to talk. Beast Games was far from good,” another added.

Multiple responses questioned MrBeast’s attempt at comparing the two, utilizing a variety of memes. These memes often featured phrases like “Who asked?” and “Who invited you, bro?”, accompanied by relevant images.

The show has faced criticism as well, due to incidents like set components hurting crew members and contestants voicing concerns over harsh living conditions. However, some of these issues have been acknowledged by Donaldson.
