Mouse: P.I. For Hire Casts Video Game Legend In The Lead Role

At Summer Game Fest 2025’s initial showcase, Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios didn’t secure a big time slot, but they did unveil an exciting detail: a renowned voice actor will be giving life to the main character of Mouse: P.I. For Hire. The trailer below confirms that Troy Baker is bringing Jack Pepper to vocal life in this game.

This game’s aesthetic is reminiscent of classic Disney animations from over a century past, yet it presents an alternate universe far removed from the traditional Disney world. In this game, our mouse protagonist might require firearms and weapons for survival. The production also draws inspiration from the Fleisher Studios cartoons of the 1930s.

Jack Pepper resides in the city of Mouseburg, which is as crooked as they come, much like a cartoon version of Sin City. Despite this, Jack needs to earn a living, so he’s taken on a case from a damsel in distress who has recently entered his life. As Jack delves deeper into the mystery, he encounters new adversaries, murder, and an unexpected enemy.

Luckily for Jack, he has the means to clean up Mouseburg using powerful weaponry such as shotguns, submachine guns, and even bazookas. While these tools might appear comical, they are capable of causing quite grisly demises.

The game “Mouse: Private Investigator for Hire” is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch towards the end of this year. You can add it to your wishlist now on Steam.
