As an enthusiast, I can’t help but reminisce about the pulse-pounding action from Week 4 of the Esports World Cup. The world’s elite teams in Overwatch 2, ML:BB, and PUBG: Mobile truly stole the show. Here are some of the electrifying and unforgettable moments that left an indelible mark on us all!

Sugarfree pops off on Tracer to get Toronto Ultra to EWC OW2 Grand Finals

As an ardent fan, I must admit that I, along with many others, didn’t foresee Toronto Ultra making waves at the EWC Overwatch 2. The team has garnered some regional victories, but on the grand stage, they’ve rarely posed a challenge to powerhouse Korean teams like Team Falcons or Crazy Raccoon. However, the tables turned dramatically when they knocked out the seasoned roster of Zeta Division in the semifinals, a result that left many of us stunned.

Clearly, there was an error from Zeta Division in their final map as they wrongly banned Soldier 76 instead of Tracer, the top hero for Ultra’s star DPS Sugarfree. Consequently, Sugarfree exploited this mistake brilliantly by using Tracer to outmaneuver and defeat Zeta Division, resulting in a spectacular 4k play that was captured on video.

In a crucial boost, Tracer’s exceptional MVP performance propelled team Ultra towards the Grand Finals, marking their best placement ever in the chronicles of Toronto Ultra, finishing as runners-up.

Omega Empress crush Gaimin Gladiators to stay alive in ML:BB

In the Grand Finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational held at EWC on Sunday, Smart Omega Empress managed to outsmart Team Vitality, the queens of ML:BB. However, their path to this match was quite perilous as they nearly got knocked out in the Quarterfinals against Gaimin Gladiators.

On Map 2, I found myself cornered, but I decided it was time to show my might. With adrenaline pumping, I brought out all the big guns and played with finesse until the victory was mine.

Among the standout instances from the tournament, a particularly thrilling one occurred towards the end of Map 2, where Omega Empress skillfully guided Gaimin Gladiators into their own base during the decisive team fight, positioning them advantageously for Map 3 and ultimately securing the win. Don’t miss out on witnessing this triumphant moment in our video!

Alpha7 E-Sports claims the Chicken Dinner via roadkill In PUBG: Mobile

For those who play PUBG Mobile, the excitement of the final circles is no stranger. However, nothing fully prepares you for the frenetic pace of a final circle in a tournament with a prize pool exceeding $3,000,000.

One thrilling highlight of the PUBG Mobile World Cup EWC was when only three teams remained at the final stage: A7, Talon, and IW NRX. As the circle drew nearer, an exhilarating pandemonium broke out. This circle was packed with action – explosive grenade launches, precise gunfire, and a shocking double kill resulting from a road accident to conclude it dramatically.

In simpler terms, Alpha7’s imaginative approach to car play helped them secure their third victory in the Main Tournament, leading them ultimately to claim first place.

Toronto Ultra Secure the cross-map overtime in Overwatch 2

Without a doubt, the exceptional Raccoons clearly surpassed Toronto Ultra, and all other Overwatch 2 teams as well, by dominantly capturing the tournament title with just two maps lost in the process.

However, among the map defeats, one stands out for its thrilling tale. In the final showdown, Ultra found themselves in a perilous predicament. With the Push bot on the disadvantageous side of the map, time running out, and the most fearsome Overwatch team looming over them, ready to eliminate them.

However, an unusual event transpired. In a seemingly unexplainable turn of events, Ultra refused to retreat. Instead, they stubbornly persisted, clinging onto the objective.

In order to capture the map, Crazy Racoon had to triumph in one team skirmish. However, Toronto Ultra managed to defeat them not once, but three times consecutively. This allowed them to push their opponents’ base all the way to the opposite end of the map and seal the victory. Although they ultimately lost the series, that was an incredible moment for Toronto Ultra!
