Capcom Confirms Temperered Monsters Are Back In Monster Hunter Wilds
Working together with Sony, Capcom recently hosted a special Monster Hunter Rise event stream on PlayStation Presents (as reported by Windows Central). During this event, the game developers announced that Tempered Monsters are set to feature in the endgame content of the game, Wilds.
In the game developed by Capcom, the players were given a glimpse of pursuing a Toughened Rathian in a specific area, and they also highlighted some of the prizes that players can obtain upon defeating these formidable creatures.
Furthermore, it’s worth noting that Capcom announced the comeback of Blangonga, a fierce white primate-like creature with sharp teeth, which was previously showcased in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate – a Nintendo Switch exclusive title launched back in 2017.
For those unaware, Tempered Monsters are a tougher version of the usual in-game creatures, easily identifiable by their metallic luster. They’re more challenging to defeat due to dealing increased damage, getting enraged more frequently, and transitioning into stronger states quicker. Defeating these formidable adversaries rewards players with Decorations – unique gems that can be inserted into equipment for the acquisition of potent passive abilities.
In Monster Hunter Worlds, developed by Capcom, the thrill of hunting monstrous creatures has become more enticing. As per a translation shared by Reddit user @FishermanWest9113, the rewards for defeating enhanced Tempered Monsters now include resources to craft unique “Artisan” weapons. These weapons will have distinct attributes and properties that are influenced by the parts you use during their construction.
Having spent a significant amount of time on Monster Hunter World, I’m not at all surprised that Tempered Monsters are back. They make for an excellent endgame objective, providing a challenging adversary to conquer. This situation offers an opportunity to assess the strength of your endgame equipment and tests teamwork since it is quite difficult to defeat these monsters without strategic cooperation.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on February 28, 2025, available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. Earlier this month, Capcom announced the game’s initial post-release update, revealing that a new monster will be introduced shortly following the release.
