Monster Hunter Wilds Patch Coming Tuesday, But Don’t Expect It To Improve Performance

The action-adventure game, Monster Hunter Wilds, is due for an update on March 4th. This update aims to resolve several bugs that have been causing problems for players as they progress through the game’s storyline and access essential features.

At the moment, certain gamers are experiencing an issue in Chapter 5-2 titled “A World Turned Upside Down,” where they can’t advance the story because a crucial character isn’t showing up as expected. Additionally, some players have reported a problem that prevents the “Grill a Meal” and “Ingredient Center” from unlocking properly. Typically, these features become accessible during the main questline.

Attention all hunters: A new update is set to be released across all platforms simultaneously at 12am PST / 8am GMT on March 4th. This update aims to resolve problems associated with the Ingredient Center, Grill a Meal, and progression in Chapter 5-2 “A World Turned Upside Down”. After the update, any ongoing online sessions will be affected.

On March 4th at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET, players currently online will be disconnected from their game sessions to make room for an update. To carry on with online play, they’ll need to download the new update, as stated by the Monster Hunter Status X account, which shares information about existing problems and forthcoming solutions.

The March 4th update is expected to resolve significant issues that have been hindering progress in the game, however, it fails to tackle one of the other primary concerns that numerous players have faced with Monster Hunter Rise since its release: performance problems on PC. Despite setting new records on Steam at launch and becoming one of the top 5 games on the platform in terms of concurrent players due to its popularity, Monster Hunter Rise currently holds a “mixed” average user review rating on the platform primarily because of complaints about subpar performance and optimization for Capcom’s latest title.

Apart from a Frequently Asked Questions section on the Monster Hunter website offering suggestions for fixing common PC issues such as updating drivers and ensuring systems meet the necessary requirements, Capcom has yet to announce a timeline for when they plan to release updates aimed at improving performance in Monster Hunter World.
