Capcom has unveiled the winning user-created designs from the initial judging stage of the Monster Hunter Wilds Original Weapon and Pendant Design Contest. The company is also running a public vote, which ends on July 18 at 7:59 AM UTC, to select the top 8 designs for the next round. To participate in the poll, you need to have a registered Capcom ID.
In each category, you’ll find 20 unique designs to select from. For the Weapon category, these designs typically signify various types of weapons like Great Swords, Hunting Horns, Insect Glaives, Charge Blades, Gunlances, and Lances. However, only 8 of them will advance to the next stage. Among those 8, one design will ultimately be chosen as the grand champion and incorporated into the game. It’s important to note that Capcom has the ultimate authority to decide the specific weapon type for the winning design in the end.
Following the closure of the poll on July 18th, Capcom will unveil the top 8 finalists on the 25th of July. The grand winners for each category will be disclosed on September 27th, and these victors will subsequently be incorporated into the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC Steam game Monster Hunter Rise in early 2026.
Below, you’ll find a brief overview of the designs up for vote. For a closer look, head over to the official contest webpage.
