On February 18th, Monster Hunter Wilds will receive a major update. This update introduces Arch-Tempered Arkveld, tougher 10-star Arch-Tempered monsters, new Event Quests, and a special collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 3, along with other additions.
Capcom announced that a major expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds is coming, with the first details expected this summer. They shared the news with two trailers: one celebrating the game’s anniversary, and another outlining what’s included in the update.

Get ready for a big Monster Hunter Wilds update on February 18, 2026! It includes challenging new content like Arch-Tempered Arkveld, super-tough 10-star monsters, and special Event Quests.
This update includes a special Monster Hunter Stories 3 collaboration, new weapon and pendant designs chosen from a fan contest, and an event to celebrate the game’s first anniversary.
Ryozo Tsujimoto, producer of Monster Hunter Wilds, recently discussed the upcoming update launching on February 18th, and gave a preview of future plans for the game.
Arkveld, the Arch-Tempered monster, is now available! This 10-star monster comes as part of a special collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 3. We’re also holding a design contest for weapons and pendants, alongside an anniversary event and new event quests.
