Monster Hunter Wilds Is 2025’s Best-Selling Game In The United States So Far

Data on video game sales in the U.S. for February 2025 has been made public. Notably, Monster Hunter Wilds is not only the top-selling game of this month, but also the highest-grossing game of the year thus far, with two months having passed.

Based on recent statistics from Circana, it turns out that Monster Hunter Wilds was the top-selling game across PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam platforms last month. In terms of its earnings on Steam, it contributed to over half of the game’s total revenue in dollars.

Compared to Monster Hunter Rise, the sales revenue for Monster Hunter Wilds was twice as much when it comes to this video game franchise. Interestingly, Monster Hunter Wilds debuted at a higher price point of $69.99 compared to its launch price of $59.99 for Monster Hunter Rise.

Besides Monster Hunter Wilds, several other fresh releases have managed to break into the Top 20 best-selling games of 2025. These newcomers are Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (ranked 2nd), Civilization 7 (3rd), PGA Tour 2K25 (6th), Avowed (13th), and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (18th).

Previously number one game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, still ranks among the top five. But it’s now fourth on the list as NBA 2K25 dropped from its second spot to fifth.
