In a recent Director’s update for Monster Hunter Wilds, Yuya Tokuda from Capcom discussed their plans for balancing the action RPG. These adjustments will focus on increasing the effectiveness of the Hammer weapon, and they are also considering overall balance changes for other weapons. The team intends to implement these modifications by the end of May or with Title Update 2 (scheduled for this summer).
Tokuda mentioned that certain elements may be scaled back unintentionally but others will receive an increase in strength, resulting in a well-balanced modification overall. It’s been confirmed that Title Update 1 will tone down the Corrupted Mantle because it generates more damage than anticipated. In compensation for this reduction, other mantles will get a boost.
In upcoming updates, you can expect enhancements to the user interface and user experience for features like item restocking, skill checks, and queuing for multiplayer quests. Additionally, we’ll be making tweaks to Seikret and camera functionality during hunts, but at this time, we don’t have an estimated timeline for these improvements.
Keep an eye out for further information, as “Monster Hunter Rampage” is now playable on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. Beginning April 3rd, Title Update 1 will be rolled out, featuring Mizutsune and Arch-Tempered Rey Dau. Additionally, players can anticipate tougher iterations of current Tempered monsters by the end of May.
