Following its debut weekend, the worldwide box office earnings for Moana 2 stood at a staggering $386 million. Within the United States, this figure equated to an impressive $221 million over its initial five-day run.
Worldwide, the sequel debuted as the top-grossing film of the weekend in every region apart from China. The new film garnered a global revenue of $165.3 million, which has significantly increased since its opening.
In the United States, the debut of Moana 2 spanned over three days and grossed approximately $135.3 million, with earnings nearly doubling during the subsequent two days.

Interestingly, despite earning less than Inside Out 2 and Frozen 2 during their initial weekends at the box office, it has surpassed their global earnings in the same timeframe.
Previously mentioned, the second installment set a new record for the highest opening day earnings among Walt Disney animated films, surpassing Frozen 2’s $42.2 million with an impressive $57.5 million. It ranks third in opening day earnings, following Inside Out 2 (2024) which made $71.3 million and Incredibles 2 from Pixar in 2018, raking in $63.6 million on its opening day.
