Following the outstanding performance of “A Minecraft Movie” in theaters, the studio’s top executives, Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, have revealed that they are actively planning for a follow-up film titled “A Minecraft Movie 2.”
De Luca hinted that a follow-up to the 2024 movie could potentially be coming soon, saying, “It’s not far off. The paperwork might still be getting signed, but it’s definitely close.” This applies to both plans for a Minecraft film and another Beetlejuice production.
De Luca stated, “We believe we possess all the necessary components to replicate a global success similar to Minecraft. Our recent modifications and our determination to adapt global distribution and marketing for the 21st century seem to be validated by this achievement. We’re confident we haven’t made any missteps.
