Minecraft Modder Gives Jack Black’s Voice To Steve

The multi-talented Jack Black continues to land roles in video game movies, with recent appearances as Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Claptrap in Borderlands. In the coming month, he will add yet another to his collection when he takes on the role of Steve in A Minecraft Movie. Now, a Minecraft modder has integrated Black’s voice into the game that inspired the upcoming film.

A user known as SnailMan shared a video showcasing their custom mod, where the character Steve from “Black” is integrated into the Minecraft universe. In addition to this, they humorously mentioned that crafting this mod was equivalent to spending “[three] hours of my life that I can’t recover.

Now, you have the opportunity to play as the character Steve from the popular film “Minecraft” within the video game “Minecraft: The Movie Adaptation.” Approximately 3 hours of your time was invested in creating this experience.

With the movie still not released, SnailMan had to make do with snippets of Black from trailer previews and television advertisements for A Minecraft Movie. However, these glimpses proved sufficient for additional content to be added to the game.

The Jack Black Minecraft mod hasn’t been released yet, but SnailMan mentioned that it’s being checked out on Modrinth right now. Once it becomes available, you can access it through SnailMan’s Modrinth profile.

As part of Mattel’s lineup for the Minecraft movie merchandise, there will be an action figure of Jack Black portraying Steve. This is less extraordinary compared to the movie’s partnership with Doritos, where they’ve created chips that mimic the taste of Creepers. The recent trailer for the film has unveiled its antagonist. To witness how this conflict unfolds, fans must be patient until the Minecraft Movie premieres in theaters on April 4th.
