Milly Alcock Tried To Get Advice From The Superman Cast, But She Got A Warning Instead

Enthusiasts of superhero films are eagerly anticipating the upcoming “Superman” film by James Gunn, as it marks a fresh take on the most iconic superhero and lays the groundwork for a new DC cinematic universe on the big screen. However, the franchise is not resting on its laurels, with the highly anticipated “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” set for release next summer. Star Milly Alcock certainly seems thrilled… and a bit battered.

As I embarked on my journey with Supergirl, prior to the production of Superman, Indiewire inquired if I received any guidance from the Superman cast. To my surprise, instead of advice, I was given a heads-up – a gentle warning that this venture would leave me slightly bruised, but that every moment of it would be worth savoring. In other words, they prepared me for an unforgettable ride!

Indeed, they responded with, “Brace yourself for bumps and bruises, expect battle wounds that you’ll wear as badges of honor.” And, yes, that experience was undeniably real.

It remains uncertain from whom exactly Alcock received this advice. While we’ve noticed David Corenswet appearing quite bruised in the Superman previews, it seemed to me that such appearance might have been due to makeup.

From my perspective, given that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow appears to be an interstellar superhero journey, it’s reasonable to assume that there will be a generous amount of CGI involved. Despite the fact that this type of action film usually spares its actors from physical injuries, it seems like Milly Alcock put in quite a lot of effort in her portrayal of Supergirl.

It’s quite exciting news, indeed! If Milly Alcock sustained some injuries like cuts and scrapes, it’s probably due to the intense action scenes in an upcoming superhero movie. We don’t have much information about the film except for some of the cast and the comic book it’s based on, but I can’t wait to see Supergirl lock horns with Jason Momoa’s Lobo. Frankly, just imagining such a fight is already thrilling!

Given Supergirl’s last solo film was the poorly received 1984 movie “Supergirl” starring Helen Slater, it’s safe to say the new movie will likely be different. It’s hard to envision anyone walking away with battle scars from that film.

The shooting for the latest Supergirl movie has been completed, but it’s likely there will be some additional filming. After that, the movie will move into its extended post-production phase, which, given the film’s setting and genre, may involve a considerable amount of special effects, potentially even more than what was required for Superman.

I hope that the actors involved in the forthcoming DC films aren’t overworked or injured during production, as they’ll be needed often to portray their characters in the expanding cinematic universe.
