Millimages Will Bring Kids’ Animated Series ‘Bin Buddies’ to Market This Fall (EXCLUSIVE)

As a seasoned cinema enthusiast with years of immersion in children’s entertainment and animation, I must say that “Bin Buddies” has piqued my interest like no other series in recent memory. Having spent countless hours watching the antics of anthropomorphic characters, I have to admit that this new offering by Millimages stands out as a breath of fresh air.

Based in Paris, the established and renowned animation studio Millimages, recognized for hit animated shows like “Molang,” which garnered numerous award nominations, and “Mouk,” a preschool favorite, has unveiled its latest series titled “Bin Buddies.” This upcoming series has been selected to be showcased at the upcoming Cartoon Forum taking place in Toulouse from September 16-19

I’m excited to share that not only am I a part of the Cartoon Forum, but next month, you’ll find our series showcased at Mipcom in the vibrant city of Cannes as well

The show aims to maintain the essence of the brand’s past victories by centering on ordinary, everyday life, infused with a splash more vibrancy. Notably, “Bin Buddies” is recognized as the premier computer-generated (CG) animated preschool series that features trash collectors in leading roles – a unique twist for children’s programs typically revolving around fantastical representations of blue-collar jobs

Produced by Fabrice Ravier and consisting of 52 seven-minute episodes, “Bin Buddies” deliberately distinguishes itself from other popular children’s animated shows, a fact that producer Bonnie Lener is particularly proud to emphasize

“Lener found ‘Bin Buddies’ intriguing right away since it’s not like common rescue or transportation series that transform everyday tasks into exaggerated heroic tales,” he shared. “Instead, it highlights the significance of an often undervalued daily job through engaging and thrilling narratives. We’re excited to present this unique concept and explore potential international collaborations with our colleagues at Cartoon Forum and Mipcom.”

The show titled “Bin Buddies” targets children between 5 and 7 years old; it’s based in the unique setting of “Nicelittletown,” where trash collectors are cherished as much as firefighters might be. In this series, we follow the antics of Maddy the Ostrich, Rodrigo the Lion, and Turbo the Raccoon – a team of clean-up enthusiasts – as they drive their extraordinary one-of-a-kind garbage truck to keep their town tidy in an entertaining and lighthearted fashion

“Our project, ‘Bin Buddies,’ is scheduled to debut at the Cartoon Forum on September 17th. Later in the year, at Mipcom, Bonnie Lener, our producer and head of development at Millimages, will present the trailer, a complete script bible, and two full scripts.”
