While Adolescence has been the center of attention lately, don’t forget that he is also involved in the creation of Enola Holmes, another hit series. He penned the screenplays for both movies centered around Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister, and he’s currently working on the script for a third film as well.

As a movie enthusiast, I can’t help but express my anticipation for some captivating long takes in the film “Enola Holmes.” The art of continuous shots was the heart and soul of the Adolescence era, and I believe this Sherlock Holmes spin-off mystery could greatly benefit from it. With all the rapid dialogue and exhilarating action that these films offer, it would make the experience tenfold more thrilling to witness Enola engaging in a walk-and-talk with one of her siblings or eluding a villain while darting through city streets in a single uninterrupted shot.
With news that Enola Holmes 3 is indeed on its way, featuring an acclaimed director, I find myself immersed in visions of potential storylines. As per Netflix, this installment will unfold in Malta, a setting where our beloved sleuth Enola finds herself dealing with a complex and dangerous case, far surpassing any she’s encountered thus far. Joining the cast are Milly Brown and Louis Partridge, along with returning stars Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes and Himesh Patel stepping into the role of Dr. Watson!
All in all, it seems like a project that Philip Barantini and Jack Thorne will find enjoyable, and I’m eager to see how they develop the story now that they have experience with Adolescence. Perhaps, we can anticipate some stunning long takes in the making.
