In 2026, the game titled “Mudang: Two Hearts,” produced by EVR Studio, will be released for both Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms. This announcement was made during the Xbox Games Showcase. The storyline of Mudang is based on a webtoon, and it takes place in a united Korea that’s not too far into the future.
On their official site, EVR Studio describes the game “Mudang: Two Hearts” as a captivating mix of strategic stealth, intense battles, and dramatic narrative unfolding amidst the turbulent Korean peninsula’s political landscape.
The story unfolds with the merging of North and South Korea under a treaty intended to end prolonged separation. However, appearances can be deceiving. On the very day the unification bill was scheduled for approval, a terrorist group strikes the South Korean Parliament, sparking a chain reaction of tumultuous events throughout the peninsula.
The storyline revolves around two primary characters: Ji Jeong Tae, previously a North Korean soldier who finds himself in South Korea through a military exchange program, and Gavi, an associate of K-Pop group ORDO. Additionally, there’s a mysterious figure known as ID: Ghost. As the narrative unfolds, players will have the opportunity to experience events from both Ji Jeong Tae and Gavi’s viewpoints.
EVR Studio, established in 2016, hails from South Korea and is the creator behind Mudang: Two Hearts – their inaugural venture. This game, originally known as Project TH, is being crafted with cutting-edge performance-capture technology. It promises smooth animations that mimic motion flawlessly, flexible level designs, immersive spatial sound effects, and intelligent AI, as per the developers’ announcement.
