Riot Games recently introduced Miks, a new Controller agent, to Valorant. Here’s a breakdown of their abilities and what you should know about them.
Valorant has had a significant year. The popular five-on-five shooter from Riot Games celebrated its fifth anniversary this summer with the introduction of a new game engine and substantial updates to its characters.
Harbob has been updated, and we’ve recently welcomed new characters like Tejo and Veto to the game.
Now, we’ve got another in the form of Miks.
When does Miks release in Valorant?
Miks, the newest agent coming to Valorant (known as Agent 30), was introduced on March 15th during Valorant Masters: Santiago. He’s designed to be a Controller, meaning he specializes in manipulating the battlefield.
He’ll become playable in the game on March 18th, coinciding with the launch of Act 2 for Season 2026. Riot Games also released a new trailer and gameplay footage featuring him.
So, ready to make some noise?

It’s still unclear how well Miks will perform with the shifting strategies in Valorant, but he’s just one of several new additions coming in the next Act.
Riot Games has introduced some exciting new content, like the Blackthorn Collection bundle and a new game mode called Knockout. We’ll have to wait and see what other surprises they have planned.
