As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit, I was genuinely excited about diving into the skies with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. However, much like a brand-new airplane taking its first flight, it seems this game has hit some turbulence right off the runway. The bugs and performance issues are not just a minor hiccup but rather a full-blown storm that has left many of us stranded on the ground.
Within mere hours of its November 19 debut, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has been encountering several glitches and performance problems, causing players to give it poor reviews on Steam, resulting in a largely negative overall assessment.
Players are finding it hard to enjoy the game due to problems like missing aircraft and prolonged loading times, as expressed by those voicing their concerns on Steam. Developer Asobo Studio has responded to these issues through a tweet and assures that they are actively working to resolve them promptly.
It has come to our attention that some aircraft appear to be missing from the My Library and Aircraft Select screens in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This problem seems to be linked to the ongoing server problems we’re trying to fix. Keep an eye out for more information as it becomes available.

Based on information from Asobo Studio, the problems with the missing aircraft and prolonged loading times are due to server troubles that have arisen because of the high volume of players attempting to play the game shortly after its release.
Due to multiple players starting the game simultaneously, our servers are receiving a high volume of requests, explained the game developers in a subsequent tweet. We are currently working diligently to address these problems and find solutions as quickly as we can.
Apart from patiently waiting for the developers to address and resolve the problems themselves, players don’t have many options available for fixing the issues. Asobo Studio has provided some suggestions for those encountering loading problems, though.
If your system’s initial load exceeds 90% and it’s not advancing anymore, our suggestion is to restart your device. Otherwise, we suggest you wait patiently for the loading process to continue normally.
Asobo Studio hasn’t given a timeframe for when they expect to fix the ongoing problems with the game, but they asked players to keep an eye out for future announcements about the matter.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 24 is the latest in a long list of games that were made using AI.
In a recent interview, the head of MS Flight Sim, Jorg Neumann, stated, “We would have invested our entire lives and more into mapping out the game’s landscape, but that’s not the main focus. Instead, these tools are simply a means to assist us in achieving our goals.
