Mickey Rourke Says He’s ‘Ashamed’ After ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Exit: ‘I Lost My Temper’ and ‘I’m Very Sorry’

Video clips of Mickey Rourke’s departure from “Celebrity Big Brother” have become available, featuring an apology from the actor-turned-boxer following his eviction due to inappropriate verbal expressions and unsuitable conduct.

In the YouTube-posted video from Sunday, Big Brother ejects Rourke from the house following an altercation with Chris Hughes. The dispute escalated due to language that was both threatening and aggressive towards Hughes, as well as the use of inappropriate sexual words directed at Ella Rae Wise. Rourke acknowledges his behavior towards Hughes but claims he wasn’t aware of any wrongdoing concerning Wise. Earlier in the show, when Wise asked Rourke to join her, he questioned, “You come in?

Prior to his time on “Celebrity Big Brother”, Rourke faced criticism for comments perceived as homophobic towards JoJo Siwa, earning him a formal warning. Matters escalated beyond the show when Bella Thorne, a former colleague, alleged misconduct during filming. Regarding these severe accusations, a representative for Rourke stated, “Mr. Rourke strongly denies any deliberate misconduct.” They added that he was unaware of any concerns during production and only learned about Thorne’s discomfort recently.

Following Big Brother’s announcement that Rourke is being evicted, he expresses regret by saying, “I’m truly sorry. I understand that I can’t undo what’s been done, as I overstepped boundaries and accept full responsibility for my actions.” He continues, “My anger got the better of me, something I’ve been striving to manage throughout my life. I wish I could have shown more self-restraint in that moment, and I am deeply sorry. I feel ashamed of myself for losing control, even if it was just for a brief period.

Rourke acknowledges his mistakes: “I acknowledge it was my fault. You see, I have a quick temper. I realize I’ve upset many people. I apologize sincerely for that. I feel embarrassed by my reaction. I crossed the line, you understand, I made a mistake. I suppose I could say I’m still growing and learning.
