A South Korean classification board has listed Metroid Prime 4, rating it for ages 12 and above due to minimal violence. Although the listing doesn’t provide many details about the game, it implies that the development of Metroid Prime 4 is nearing completion and there’s a possibility it could be released this year, with indications pointing towards a holiday launch.

Moreover, VGC mentions that this listing coincides with rumors about an upcoming Nintendo Direct event, where it’s expected that a definitive release date might be announced.

Metroid Prime 4 has had quite a journey. It was initially unveiled at E3 in 2017, but since then, it’s switched developers and experienced at least one overhaul before being re-introduced with the subtitle ‘Beyond’ in 2024.
