Ben Chow, the man behind the DeFi and meme coin platform, Meteora, has decided to step down from his position. The resignation comes after accusations of financial misconduct and insider trading related to the infamous LIBRA meme coin.
As the rumors swirl, Meow, Chow’s partner and the pseudonymous co-founder of Jupiter, announced the departure with a mix of disappointment and confidence in Chow’s character.
“Ben has shown a lack of judgment and care about some core aspects of the project. And this, unfortunately, is unacceptable,” Meow stated, as they look for new leadership and hire an independent firm to investigate the situation.
While Chow denies any personal involvement in the LIBRA project, a video surfaced online featuring an alleged conversation between Chow and Dhirk, the founder of DefiTuna. In the video, Chow expresses regret for recommending Hayden Davis to other meme initiatives, as Davis is now a key figure in the LIBRA controversy.
Did Ben Chow jump ship to avoid the storm, or is there more to this tale? Only time will tell…
