Metaphor ReFantazio Demon Cameos: all the SMT and Persona crossover summons from the Devil Summoner Archetype

As a seasoned veteran of the mystical realms and the mortal world alike, I’ve had the privilege of crossing paths with some truly extraordinary beings. Among them are the Kishin, Vishnu, Shiva, and Beelzebub – deities and demons summoned by those gifted with the art of Royal Summonery.

Even though ReFantazio is a fresh game with no narrative connections to Atlus’ previous projects, it pays tribute to their past creations in various ways. For instance, it offers playful job classes based on Archetypes, such as the Soul Hacker, Devil Summoner, and Persona Master, which are clear references to some games they’ve previously developed.

Among all, the Devil Summoner stands out as an advanced version of the Summoner character type. This special ability becomes accessible to the whole team once Eupha is added as a Companion. When you advance your relationship with Eupha to Follower Bond Rank 6, you gain access to the Devil Summoner Elite Class. This class shares similarities with the Summoner class, which involves crafting Vessels using More’s Special Experiments found in Akademeia.

Instead of conjuring the monsters from Metaphor: ReFantazio as a Summoner would, the Devil Summoner invokes numerous demons that appear in the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series by Atlus. Here’s an enjoyable list showcasing some of the iconic demons now available in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

    • Deals heavy magic Fire damage to one enemy. May inflict Burn.

Mothman

• Appears in:

Decarabia

• Appears in:

    • Raises a barrier that repels one Slash / Pierce / Strike attack for one ally.
    • Requires crafting the Pentagram Vessel

Lakshmi

• Appears in:

Ishtar
