As Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is set to launch in just three months, Konami has decided to give fans a sneak peek by releasing the game’s opening movie on YouTube. This three-minute video not only offers fresh footage that’ll surely get our hearts racing, but it also includes a brand new rendition of Cynthia Harrell’s classic song, “Snake Eater.” And let me tell you, she delivers that tune with the same level of brilliance as before.
Despite having a similar melody as the initial recording, the remix seems to have a gentler overall sound, with the bass being notably less forceful. Contrastingly, the opening visuals have undergone significant changes. Unlike the original’s almost hallucinatory visuals and mysterious atmosphere, the revamped version highlights some of the game’s most memorable scenes, such as a crucial encounter between Snake and The Boss.
Rest assured, one cherished aspect of the beginning remains unchanged. As stated in the video’s description, fans can anticipate experiencing the interactive aspects from the initial version, integrated within the gameplay of the opening itself. For instance, you’ll still be able to manipulate the snakes on screen using your analog stick.
Back in August, we got an early peek at Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and it appeared as a rather streamlined, contemporary update of the original game. The developers seemed to have skillfully navigated the game’s leap into 2025.
