Messi’s Bodyguard Challenges Logan Paul to Bare Knuckle Street Fight

It seems that Logan Paul could be on the verge of securing another significant boxing match, following a response from one of Lionel Messi’s security personnel to his proposal for an unorthodox bare-knuckle street brawl.

Over the past year, YouTube sensation-turned-WWE villain Logan Paul has found himself in a courtroom tussle with Lionel Messi’s beverage brand Mas+. The legal squabble stems from Mas+ accusing Prime Hydration of unethical business practices, while Prime Hydration has retaliated by filing a lawsuit for trademark violations.

Due to the argument, Paul playfully challenged Messi to a hypothetical boxing bout. Although Paul later confessed it was only a jest, one of the soccer player’s security personnel felt compelled to intervene.

In March 2025, Yassine Chueko uploaded a video on Instagram, issuing a fight challenge to Paul. Upon being made aware of the video, Paul expressed disdain, telling him to “join the queue,” but he also invited him to travel to Puerto Rico and prove his abilities.

In April, it came out that Paul had refused a $15 million proposal to engage in a boxing match with his bodyguard. He explained that he has devoted his life to the WWE and wasn’t considering any external opportunities. Yet, he was open to participating in an unregulated street brawl with no gloves.

Paul proposed an idea during Adin Ross’s livestream in May: ‘If you’ve got some free time, let’s meet up for a sparring session in Puerto Rico. No rules, no mouth guard, just bare fists.’ He was suggesting a physical fight.

Chueko has answered Paul’s proposal, yet his ambition remains focused on securing a genuine boxing contest with the professional wrestler.

Messi’s bodyguard doubles down on boxing offer

Not long after Paul made his counterproposal, Chueko shared a video on Instagram showcasing his training routine, challenging the YouTube personality to focus and finalize the contract.

In a more casual and friendly manner, the bodyguard playfully remarked, “Your golden locks sure are adorable!” After the sparring session, he teased, “What’s got you all worked up? Let’s dial down the excitement, buddy. The name’s Lolo.

Lola, you’re not a gangster and neither am I. Let’s avoid any disputes on the street. Now, I urge you to sign this contract, Lolo… Stop coming up with excuses and just sign it. But rest assured, I won’t knock you out in the first round. Just relax, Lolo.

Due to Paul’s past reluctance towards high-value boxing bouts, spectators are skeptical about his acceptance of Chueko’s proposition; however, another family member of the Paul clan has vowed to claim the title of world boxing champion.

In a preparatory phase for his upcoming fight, Logan’s younger sibling, Jake Paul, is set to square off against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., a 39-year-old ex-WBC champion, on June 28 in what promises to be one of the most significant bouts of his career.
