As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for roguelites and an insatiable appetite for unique gameplay experiences, I find myself utterly enthralled by the upcoming prologue of An Amazing Wizard. The fact that this gem is being developed by just two talented individuals, Jakub Dąbrowski and Ivan David Fernández Morantes, is nothing short of astounding.
A Swift-Moving Sorcerer Game, being a high-speed action roguelike, fell short in securing funding through Kickstarter. Nonetheless, the team at Tiny Goblins has persistently delivered updates to those who showed interest, and shortly after their Kickstarter campaign ended unsuccessfully, they launched a demo of the game.
As a fervent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that on August 22, 2024, Tiny Goblins will be releasing the prologue of An Amazing Wizard on Steam! This is truly remarkable news, given that this captivating game is being developed by a small team of only two individuals – Jakub Dąbrowski, the visionary founder, and Ivan David Fernández Morantes, a talented pixel artist who’s working alongside Dąbrowski to bring this game to life. I can hardly wait!
For enthusiasts, playing the introductory chapter of “An Amazing Wizard” is absolutely free! However, unlike the demo, you’ll encounter fresh elements within the game that were previously unavailable.
Players embarking on the opening level will discover the uncharted Ancient Desert realm, an entirely fresh map teeming with novel adversaries such as lightning spirits and mummies. Strategizing to vanquish these new foes is crucial, particularly for the Wizard character, given their swift attacks that can quickly deplete your health. A word of caution: Thunder spirits have the ability to multiply near you, while mummies can attack from a distance using their bandages.
There are also new bosses and elites for you to face in the prologue of An Amazing Wizard.
In the introductory part of the game, a new feature called “Spell Combination” has been introduced. This lets players combine spells at the Spellweaver up to a maximum of five times. By doing so, they can design their own exclusive spells for their wizard character in the game.
As a seasoned sorcerer with years of magical combat under my belt, I’ve learned that combining spells can often yield powerful results. For instance, if you’re like me and have mastered the Lesser Fireball spell, which unleashes a fiery orb to incinerate your foes, and the Gravity Zone spell, which keeps enemies pinned down like insects on a board, you might want to consider combining these two for maximum effect. By doing so, you can create a spell that immobilizes your enemy before igniting them in flames, giving you a decisive advantage in battle. Trust me, I’ve seen it work wonders in the heat of combat!
Alienware invites you for a complimentary pre-launch playtest on August 2, 2024. To secure early access, please keep an eye on their site; currently, no details are accessible. As soon as the link goes live, I’ll make sure to update this post.
Right before the grand unveiling of the Astonishing Wizard game, tiny goblin creators are planning a fan playtest session for all to join. You can easily apply for the playtest now via Steam.
