Gibson stated that his choice wouldn’t be unexpected. Pondering, the camera operator ventured, ‘I’ll hazard a guess it’s Trump. Am I wrong?’

Previously this year, Trump expressed his admiration for Mel Gibson on his social media platform, Truth Social. He posted a meme that contrasted two images: one of a neatly groomed Gibson and another of Gibson’s rugged appearance from the movie “Braveheart.” The captions read “Voting for Trump” in 2016 and “Voting for Trump again” in 2024, respectively. He concluded the post by saying, “Either way, Mel Gibson is exceptional!
