Megyn Kelly Tells Taylor Swift to Speak Out About Blake Lively’s Harassment Case

Megyn Kelly wasn’t hesitant to express her opinions critically towards her fellow Time100 award recipient, Blake Lively, during the event in New York City on Thursday evening.

Speaking about the debate over Lively’s placement on Time’s Most Influential People list, Kelly remarked, “She made it because she’s well-known,” and went on to label her accusations against Justin Baldoni in their “It Ends With Us” project as “unfounded #MeToo claims.”

Discussing the controversy surrounding Lively’s inclusion on Time’s Most Influential People list, Kelly commented, “She was selected due to her fame,” and added that Lively’s allegations against Justin Baldoni in their “It Ends With Us” production were merely “spurious #MeToo accusations.

The ex-Fox news presenter frequently spoke to journalists about the Lively-Baldoni affair from the floor, also offering counsel to Taylor Swift, a close friend of Lively’s in the music industry.

Kelly mentioned to EbMaster that it’s unclear if Taylor Swift is like a dragon for her or not, as she received a text from Lively calling Swift ‘Khaleesi,’ the character on ‘Game of Thrones’ who controls dragons, suggesting that Swift has some formidable support behind her.

Kelly agreed with what Blake Lively stated, therefore she’s accepting it as truth. If it were Taylor, I believe she would address the issue publicly. However, it seems that she’s choosing to stay away from it,” Kelly commented.

At the lively gala, she was accompanied by her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her mother, Willie Elain McAlpin. During the meal part of the occasion, she took the opportunity to deliver a heartfelt speech in her mother’s honor.

In her short, five-minute talk, she disclosed that McAlpin had endured an attempt on her life prior to Lively’s birth.

She shared that her mom never received justice for a coworker’s attempted murder when she was raising three small children – this happened long before I existed. However, she often attributes her survival to a story she heard from another woman who had faced a similar ordeal, sharing it on the radio as my mom drove home one day.

Hearing that woman speak to her experience, Lively continued, is why “my mom is alive today.”

vivacious filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, his representatives, as well as the creators of “It Ends With Us,” claiming they retaliated against her by initiating a defamatory campaign after she spoke out about sexual misconduct on set. Subsequently, Baldoni counter-sued both her and Reynolds, asserting that they were attempting to ruin his career with fabricated accusations.
