Megyn Kelly Delivers 11-Minute Rant About George Clooney After He Blasts Her for Not Being a Journalist: ‘Are Hollywood Roles Getting a Little Hard to Come by as You Age?’

More recently, George Clooney defended himself from comments made by Megyn Kelly, yet she didn’t simply brush off his criticisms. Instead, she gave them careful consideration.

During a joint interview on EbMaster‘s Broadway Actors on Actors, Patti LuPone observed that George Clooney has been referred to as both a “communist” and a “fascist” due to his political activism. This observation led Clooney to discuss his critics openly.

Clooney doesn’t mind what others think, as he and his team don’t dictate opinions when they present that montage at the end. For example, Megyn Kelly has criticized him by stating that he is not a journalist, but Clooney never claimed to be one.

In the Broadway production titled “Good Night, and Good Luck,” which is based on George Clooney’s 2005 film of the same name, he portrays Edward R. Murrow, a renowned journalist. Towards the end of the play, there’s a collection of actual news footage that includes clips of figures like Kelly and Elon Musk among others.

Clooney went on, “I’ve traveled to places like Darfur, Sudan, and the Congo, even faced gunfire to report stories. I’m not entirely certain about her journalistic credentials. However, it’s important to note that in this play, we merely present her words without influencing opinion. We don’t distort or manipulate them; we simply say, ‘These are your words.’

Kelly was keen on countering Clooney’s views during the April 23 episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show.” For the initial 11 minutes, she presented her argument that she is a journalist, while Clogeo seems to believe otherwise. She also voiced her disapproval towards Clooney’s New York Times op-ed from last year in which he suggested President Biden should step down and be replaced by a new nominee.

She stated, “He’s performing in a play about Edward R. Murrow since Clooney considers himself a journalist and has numerous opinions on the correct way for journalists to perform their duties. His primary method is discovering the most significant story of the decade – that a sitting president is mentally unfit and should be removed from office using the 25th Amendment – but then keeping quiet about it, remaining silent for weeks on end, and only after the president publicly embarrasses himself during a presidential debate and refuses to resign despite the entire Democratic Party seeing their electoral prospects decline. Eventually he decides to write an op-ed in The New York Times claiming Joe Biden is unfit for the job. That’s not journalism; it’s cowardice and blatant partisanship. You’re not fooling anyone, George. So now he’s starring in his Broadway show… by the way, what’s troubling you, George? Are Hollywood roles becoming harder to come by as you age and become increasingly smug and self-congratulatory?

Later, Kelly detailed several significant interviews she had conducted throughout her career, ranging from Donald Trump to ordinary citizens. She also took a few jabs at LuPone, referring to her as “Broadway’s most formidable and senior tormentor.
