Megaton Musashi W: Wired adds pick-up-and-play Megarobo Batroseum online PvP mode on November 26

As a lifelong fan of mecha anime and games, I can’t help but get excited about Level-5’s latest update for Megaton Musashi W: Wired. The new Megarobo Batroseum PvP mode is just what the doctor ordered for those who want to jump into a pick-up-and-play battle royale without the hassle of building their own custom Rogue mech. Plus, the new Sengi system adds an extra layer of strategy to the mix, with abilities like “Enemy Lock-On Disabler” and “Instant Super Special Move.

On November 26th, Level-5 unveiled that an upcoming addition to Megaton Musashi W, featuring the Megarobo Batroseum and cross-over pilots, will be available for free to all players. This exciting content was previously announced.

In the online Player versus Player (PvP) mode of Megarobo Batroseum, players have the convenience to jump right in and select from various predefined robots displayed on a character selection screen. These selected robots are then pitted against other competitors. The action supports up to six combatants at once, allowing for intense battles. Players can opt for a free-for-all deathmatch experience within the Battle Royale Mode or engage in a team-based competition through the Team Battle Mode.

In contrast to the previous Player versus Player (PvP) mode introduced with Megaton Musashi W: Wired, this new PvP mode, Megarobo Batroseum, offers a more balanced experience for players of all skill levels. While the former allowed players to bring their customized Rogue mechs into PvP battles and earn exclusive parts and modifications through both single-player campaign progression and PvP matches, the latter aims to provide a fairer match environment by leveling the playing field.

In addition to Megarobo Batroseum, a novel Sengi system is also implemented. This system is characterized as a distinctive skill exclusive to specific unit types, which can be activated upon fully charging the Sengi gauge by engaging in combat. The official game website provides information about the following Sengi moves:

  • Balanced – Durability Restoration: Recover HP to ensure you stay in the fight.
  • Melee – Slash Launcher: Decimate the battlefield with exceptional melee attacks and the ability to launch a slashing projectile.
  • Ranged – Ranged Attack Barrier: Negate incoming ranged attacks and mount a devastating assault from afar.
  • Defensive – Temporary Damage Nullifier: Overwhelm the enemy with high durability and limited periods of invincibility.
  • Fast – Enemy Lock-On Diasbler: Baffle the opposition by disrupting their targeting system as you move at lightning speed.
  • Special – Instant Super Special Move: Deliver catastrophic damage with a powerful special move and turn the tide of battle in an instant.

Furthermore, you’ll find the previously mentioned crossover pilots integrated into our upcoming free content expansion. This update brings in characters like Koji Kabuto, Ryoma Nagare, Duke Fleed, Hyoma Aoi, and Kenichi Go to join the existing Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Grendizer, Voltes V, and Combattler V collaborations within the game. These special pilots are versatile and can be employed across multiple missions and online gameplay sessions.
