Just like many other action-packed roguelike games with a bullet hell twist, Mech Assemble places you in intense battles against hordes of zombies and challenging bosses. With an abundance of abilities, mechs, and weapons at your disposal, it might be daunting for new players to determine the best course of action. To help you navigate through the swarm and conquer powerful bosses, our beginner’s guide for Mech Assemble: Zombie Swarm is designed specifically to assist you in surviving and thriving!
How to Upgrade Your Mech
In the game Mech Assemble, enhancing your mech is essential for two main reasons: first, it makes your mech stronger; second, it enables you to inflict greater damage on harder zombies. If your mech’s power level falls below the suggested threshold, the game will issue a caution message to alert you about the potential challenges ahead due to your lower-than-optimal power level.
Disregarding this alert may lead to difficulty in slaying zombies, as they won’t fall easily, making encounters with bosses more challenging and potentially preventing you from reaching the end of the game. However, fortunately, enhancing your mechanical suit is straightforward.
- Go to the Mech Tab in the lobby.
- Press – or hold – the upgrade button.
To maintain improvements on your mechanical unit, gold is essential. The level of your Mech determines how much gold is required for continued upgrades. Not every Mech requires extensive enhancements. As you progress and acquire Shards, you’ll have the flexibility to select the most promising ones. You can obtain Gold through multiple methods, not just by completing Stages.
How to Get Free Rewards
As your mech or weapons get upgraded with each level, the costs can add up significantly. Gathering resources becomes progressively tougher as the difficulty of runs increases. However, there are several methods to obtain free items: by simply completing stages, taking on tasks, advancing through levels in the free (or premium) Battle Pass, or acquiring them from the Shop. If you’re low on gold, the game offers an “auto-play” feature which becomes available starting at level 5.
The vault holds gold and experience for up to 12 hours. This makes it an excellent way to accumulate large amounts of gold or XP when you sign in, or whenever you need these resources. Additionally, you can also use codes to receive exciting rewards such as diamonds, gold, mech fragments, and chest keys.
These benefits are incredibly handy since they do more than just enhance your mech and weaponry; they also grant you access to newly available weapons. Additionally, diamonds provide the ability to revive once in case of death during gameplay.
Best Weapons
In Mech Assemble, there’s an abundance of tools to assist you in defeating hordes of troublesome zombies. Some top-tier weapons even have Area of Effect (AoE) abilities that allow you to eliminate multiple enemies and pave the way for maneuvering, which can be quite useful when faced with massive zombie invasions.
Typically, an effective weapon tends to feature a short recharge time (low cooldown) and high destructive power (damage). Furthermore, its enhancements often grant beneficial boosts that amplify its damage output and provide it with potent passive advantages. Some top-tier weapons in Mech Assemble: Zombie Swarm are:
This version aims to maintain the original’s meaning while making it more conversational and easier to understand.
Weapon | Abilities |
---|---|
Frost Beam Cannon (Legendary) | – Shoots tracking freezing beams at enemies, which means there is a chance to freeze them and enact crowd control. – |
Laser Cannon (Excellent) | – A laser that continuously shoots and does damage to enemies in a straight line (you can use it like a light saber and slash away the enemies around you). – Considering that you can get this weapon pretty early on, it still holds up extremely well even in later runs, |
Firethrower (Rare) | – Sprays fire at enemies – Especially great with the additional Burning effect which you get after upgrading this weapon. |
Thunder Spear (Legendary) | – Spears which descend like Thunder to deal massive damage. – With upgrades, you’ll also get an increase of range, as well as even more damage |
Laser Turret(Excellent) | – Place down a Turret that tracks and fires lasers at enemies. – With upgrades, this weapon will also unlock a Freeze effect. CC is very important especially during large zombie waves. |
As a gamer, I’ve gotta give an honorary shout-out to the Lightning Shield, but
How to Add Weapons
Each mech allows for up to four different weapons to be equipped, enhancing its power. Although it may seem wise to choose the most potent weapons and swiftly eliminate zombies, this might not always be the best strategy. Some of the strongest weapons come with a trade-off, such as an increased reload time, to ensure balance in gameplay.
To maximize the potential of your mechanical unit, consider equipping it with weapons that have diverse impacts. In situations where you find yourself quickly overwhelmed, Crowd Control is crucial, so opt for a weapon that has a Freezing effect. Weapons with Burning effects are also beneficial since they continue causing damage even after you’ve ceased firing continuously.
Including weapons in your mech setup is quite straightforward. Just open the mech’s inventory or customization interface, then feel free to select and add any weapon that suits your preference.
You also have the option to equip numerous enhancements onto your mechs, which will boost their Health Points (HP), defense, or attack capabilities. These upgrades not only strengthen your mech but come with no negative consequences either. Therefore, it’s essential that you apply these enhancements on all of your mechs to maximize their power.
Which Weapons to Upgrade
As a gamer, I find myself often thinking about leveling up all my weapons for that even playing field. But let me tell you, it’s not always wise to upgrade everything equally. Take the Mortar Cannon, for instance – upgrading it isn’t really beneficial because its damage output is low and the upgrades don’t seem to make much of a difference. Instead, I suggest keeping an eye on which weapons are performing best during my gameplay, especially when I find myself in tough spots. Those are the ones worth investing resources into.
As a gamer, I find myself gravitating towards prioritizing upgrades for my trusty Laser Cannon. Enhancing its power not only boosts its damage output but also unlocks potent passive effects. However, remember that each upgrade comes with an increased cost, so choose wisely to maximize your gaming experience!
When it comes to choosing which weapons to enhance, focus on increasing the power of Area of Effect (AoE) weapons that come with a shorter recharge time and strong passive abilities. Remember though, not to overlook the importance of Mech weapons. Since your other special attack weapons are on cooldown, the Mech will continue to perform effectively. Spend one or two Ability points to improve either the damage of the Mech weapons or add Split Bullets to them.
Best Abilities to Get
In a game like any other roguelike, you’ll acquire diverse skills during your playthroughs. Since these skills are randomly assigned and you won’t be able to consistently use the same combination, it can become challenging to select specific skills. To streamline this process and help you make better choices when picking skills, consider prioritizing area-of-effect upgrades and skills that impose debuffs. This strategy will enhance your overall gameplay experience by providing a broader impact and strategic advantage.
To maximize your performance during each playthrough, choose skills such as “Split Shots”, “Bullet Piercing”, and “Enhanced Mechanoid/Weapon Damage”. It’s also beneficial to acquire abilities that offer extra passive effects, like immobilizing enemies or causing more damage over time. Whenever a boss emerges in a stage, I often opt for an “Increased Rate of Fire” boost. Firing more bullets has proven crucial and helped me survive numerous runs.
Managing swarms becomes more manageable when you can eliminate them without stressing over it. Occasionally, you’ll need to select skills that enhance you in one aspect but weaken you in another. This trade-off can be effectively managed. For instance, if an ability decreases your weapon damage output, ensure to prioritize a skill that increases the power of your weapon in your next selection.
How to Move
Navigating through a bullet-heavy game is crucial since it helps you stay alive, and this principle applies to Mech Assemble too. To increase your chances of survival, it’s important to constantly move across the map and avoid getting trapped in tight spots. Remember to grab the green energy every time you defeat zombies. When you accumulate enough of these, you will advance to higher levels and acquire new skill sets.
As I make my way through the game, a critical moment arrives when all the undead zombies surge towards me in hot pursuit. To survive this onslaught, it’s crucial that I find a location with minimal entry points. This strategy will ensure that I face the zombies from a single direction, preventing them from flanking me. Yet, don’t let fear hold you back – moving towards the enemies is essential for collecting those elusive green gems and advancing your character level.
In this game, the mini-bosses inflict greater harm compared to ordinary zombies, yet they are not overly challenging to conquer. Upon their demise, they yield exceptional items with unique capabilities and health boosters that aid in your survival throughout the game.
In the heat of epic Boss battles, I find myself navigating a more confined space, but I’m still agile enough to maneuver without getting hit. The catch is, regular zombies and Mini-Bosses are hot on my heels in this zone, so it’s essential to stay alert and keep moving. A smart strategy for dodging them effectively is to clear out the approaching zombie horde first, giving me more room to roam around freely.
