Following the release of the Spider-Man 4 trailer, Marvel fans are intensely discussing who Sadie Sink might be playing.
The next Spider-Man movie, currently titled Spider-Man 4 or Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is coming to US theaters this July. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and is working on Wonder Man, will direct. Tom Holland will return as Spider-Man, continuing his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It’s been four years since everything went down in No Way Home, and honestly, it’s heartbreaking. Peter’s all grown up now, but he’s completely isolated. He made the selfless choice to wipe himself from the memories of everyone he cares about, and it’s really taken a toll. He’s still out there protecting New York, a full-time Spider-Man, but nobody even knows his name anymore. The constant pressure and demands of being a hero are starting to physically change him, and it’s not in a good way – it’s actually threatening his life! To make matters worse, a really strange new wave of crime is hitting the city, and it’s led to the emergence of a villain who seems to be his most powerful enemy yet.
What are people saying about Sadie Sink’s Spider-Man 4 character after the new trailer?
As a huge Marvel fan, I’ve been following all the buzz around Sadie Sink’s potential role in the new movie, and the trailer has everyone talking! While you can’t actually see her face, a lot of people think she’s definitely in it. There are two scenes in particular – one with a character facing away from the camera, and another with someone tied up – that fans are convinced feature her. This has really fueled the rumors that she’s playing Jean Grey from the X-Men, which has been circulating for ages. It’s all just speculation right now, but it’s exciting to think she could be joining the MCU as such an iconic character!
Others, however, think the opposite and believe the trailer confirms she is not playing Jean Grey.
We still don’t have a definitive answer about who Jamie Foxx will be playing in the next Spider-Man movie. We’ll find out for sure when it’s released on July 31, 2026.
