McDonald’s Snack Wrap launch “overwhelmed” NYC delivery due to high sales

The highly anticipated comeback of McDonald’s Snack Wraps has outperformed predictions, as many stores managed to sell the amount that was initially projected for a whole week within just one day, or even exceeding that number.

Introduced nationwide on July 10, 2025, the Snack Wrap makes its return in both Classic Ranch and Spicy flavors. Enthusiasts can purchase one for just $3, or go for a $10 deal that includes two wraps, fries, and a medium drink.

Guillaume Huin, McDonald’s U.S. Senior Director of Brand Communications, stated that the initial sales day broke all previous records.

Some stores sold out in just hours

Some restaurants ran out of food prior to dinner service, as some areas reported their delivery systems becoming overloaded, particularly in New York City regions that experienced a surge of office orders.

On the first day, the sales of Snack Wraps in each restaurant were either equal to or greater than our most recent records, and it was particularly the Ranch variant that took the lead. Interestingly, the demand for the Spicy version exceeded our initial predictions as well.

Initially, some locations ran out of stock on the first day itself and were unable to offer service past lunch, however, due to our fantastic suppliers, we’re fully stocked again as of today.” (Posted on X)

In order to address the tremendous demand, McDonald’s supply teams stayed up all night to make sure that stores were well-stocked for the next day.

The resurgence of the Snack Wrap has caused a stir online as well, with a massive increase (over 146,000%) in searches for related GIFs on GIPHY, demonstrating that the enthusiasm among fans on social media directly influenced physical store sales.
