McDonald’s has explained the purpose of its mysterious “Derpy” access card. It turns out the card unlocks special performances connected to their KPop Demon Hunters promotion.
I’m so excited about these new meals! They’re part of a partnership with that awesome Netflix movie, and each Hunt/X and Saja Boys meal comes with collectible photocards. The coolest part? One of the cards has a special access code for something called ‘Derpy’! I’m definitely trying to collect them all.
Before the official launch on April 26th, McDonald’s announced that customers who scan their collectible card in the McDonald’s app will get a first look at new items and details related to the promotion.
McDonald’s reveals what Derpy access card unlocks
Guillaume Huin, who leads global marketing at McDonald’s, says the Derpy card will give fans access to special video performances by the artists involved in the collaboration.
Fans will get access to:
- A performance from the Saja Boys, marking their first time officially performing together
- A new performance from Hunt/X, featuring a different song

Starting April 26th, fans can find the new content in the McDonald’s app. This release is in response to requests for more material after the movie came out.
McDonald’s announced the campaign will feature fresh content, a performance by Saja Boys, and a new song by Hunt/X.
Although this marks the official debut performance for the group known as the Saja Boys, it’s not the first time the performers have shared the stage. Back in 2026 at Coachella, Katseye invited the voice actors to perform their popular song, “Golden.”
The partnership has been incredibly successful, so much so that the company has noticed people are reselling the collectible cards online for a profit.
