Maxie Solters, Publicist, Writer, Actor, Dies at 37

As a movie buff with a soft spot for the tales of the silver screen, I find myself deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Maxie Solters. Her journey, though cut short, was nothing short of inspiring. Born and raised in the heart of Tinseltown, she was destined to leave an indelible mark on Hollywood.

Maxie Solters, a recognized figure within the entertainment industry as a publicist, writer, actor, and producer, tragically passed away last Thursday. The reason for her passing remains undisclosed, but she was just 37 years old.

Hailing from Sherman Oaks, California, where she was born in 1987, Solters earned her BA in Theatre from the University of Southern California. Post-graduation, she embarked on a career in casting for film and television, simultaneously working as a coordinator for One Billion Rising, an organization striving to eradicate violence against women and those suffering gender-based abuse. She has featured in numerous productions and even developed, produced, and starred in her own comedy web series.

In 2012, she joined the field of public relations, making her the third generation from her family to do so, after her father Larry and her late grandfather Lee. At Scoop Marketing, she worked with clients such as the Kia Forum, Hollywood Bowl, Music Forward, and numerous others. Additionally, she was actively engaged in V-Day International and Women’s Rights causes.

Among those who carry on after her are her father Larry, along with his companion Carol Greenhut; her mother Debra Graff; her aunt Susan Reynolds; her cousin Jonah Reynolds; her significant other Dim Dobrin, and her beloved pet dog, Pookie (as shown above).

I’m helping organize a life-celebration event for Maxie. Instead of sending flowers, we kindly ask that you consider making a donation in her name to One Billion Rising.

As a passionate film enthusiast, I can’t help but share my excitement about One Billion Rising, the most monumental global movement ever taken to end violence against women, encompassing all women, regardless of their cisgender, transgender, or fluid identities. This groundbreaking campaign was ignited on Valentine’s Day 2012, born from the heart-wrenching fact that an alarming one in three women worldwide will experience physical abuse or rape throughout their lives. With the current global population exceeding 7 billion, this staggering statistic translates into over ONE BILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS who are potentially victims of such violence. This powerful movement aims to transform this harrowing reality and bring hope to countless lives.
