Mattel has unveiled the fresh lineup for Brick Shop, Hot Wheels‘ new building set series. These sets are similar to Lego or Mega Bloks, allowing fans to assemble their own replicas of iconic vehicles such as the Maserati MC20, Corvette Grand Sport, and Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. Preorders for these sets can be placed at major retailers before they hit the shelves this summer.
Brick Shop offers its sets in three distinct lines, with each successive series boasting a higher level of luxury and customization. The first tier, named the Speed Series ($20), serves as an introduction. It allows for the creation of customizable replicas of various vehicles, although you won’t find many high-end details. The second tier, called the Elite Series ($50), is more authentic and enhanced due to the integration of metal components. Mattel claims that these sets are crafted with utmost authenticity to accurately portray the unique characteristics of each car.
The “Premium Series” priced at $120 stands as the most lavish and costly option currently available. However, it’s important to note that only a single model represents this series, with plans for future models in the same category to boast eye-catching, museum-worthy features.
No matter the specific collection, the Mattel Brick Shop offers you an opportunity to construct and personalize replicas of actual vehicles and original Hot Wheels models. These sets boast interchangeable wheels, decals, and high-quality design details, making them a desirable collector’s item.
