In my critique as a movie aficionado, I expressed my admiration for your captivating performance, only to be dismayed when some critics misconstrued my comments as a harsh critique, labeling it as a ‘slam’. To set the record straight, that’s not how I roll, and I firmly believe in your exceptional talent. If I had foreseen that my words might cause you distress, I wouldn’t have shared them. Lucas’ apology came as a reaction to a post on Instagram by Brown, published the same day, addressing Lucas and other critics for their “troubling” remarks concerning “my appearance, my physique, my decisions.

Brown expressed in her Instagram post’s caption that she entered this profession at age 10. Since then, she has matured under public scrutiny, yet some people refuse to grow with her. Instead, they seem to expect her to remain unchanged, as if she should still appear as she did during the first season of ‘Stranger Things’. Because she doesn’t, she is now facing criticism and becoming a target.
