Mason Gooding Takes Center Stage in Kevin Hart’s Hilarious New Comedy ’72 Hours’!

Mason Gooding is getting married — in Kevin Hart’s bachelor party comedy “72 Hours.”

It has been exclusively disclosed that the actor from “Scream” is set to take on the role of the groom in the upcoming ensemble film.

In the Netflix film, Kevin Hart plays a 40-something businessman who unexpectedly finds himself part of a group chat with twentysomethings, leading him on a rowdy bachelor party adventure in Las Vegas when they mistook him for one of the gang.

Tim Story, known for movies like ‘Barbershop’ and ‘The Blackening,’ is set to direct the upcoming film titled ’72 Hours.’ This will be the fifth project that he’s working on with Kevin Hart, following their successful ventures in ‘Think Like a Man’ and the ‘Ride Along’ series. Each of their previous collaborations opened at number one and have collectively garnered an impressive $445 million worldwide.

Matt Mider, Kevin Burrows, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg are the ones who wrote the screenplay. John Davis and John Fox from Davis Entertainment will take on the role of producers, along with Story. Additionally, Hartbeat, Counterbalance, and Will Packer will also contribute as producers in this project.

Filming is currently underway in Las Vegas.

Recently, Gooding appeared in the Valentine’s Day slasher film “Heart Eyes,” directed by Josh Ruben. He shared screen time with Olivia Holt, Jordana Brewster, and Devon Sawa in this production.

As I pen this critique, I find myself once again immersed in the chilling world of “Scream,” stepping back into the shoes of Chad Meeks-Martin alongside Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox for the seventh installment of this iconic franchise. The movie marks a significant milestone as it’s Kevin Williamson’s debut as director for a “Scream” film, a role he originally graced with his scriptwriting prowess for the inaugural 1996 release. Mark your calendars for February 27, 2026, when “Scream 7” will send shivers down your spine and fill you with suspense once more.

In the year 2024, Gooding made an appearance in Kyle Mooney’s first directorial project, “Y2K.” He starred alongside Rachel Zegler and Alicia Silverstone. On television, his work can be found in shows like “Love, Victor,” “Ballers,” and “The Good Doctor.

Gooding is repped by CAA, Untitled, Narrative and Sloane Offer.
