As a dedicated gamer, I’m hyped to hear that the big boss at Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, is cooking something up! He’s hinted that there might be a fresh start for the Marvel Cinematic Universe someday. And guess what? The fan-favorites could potentially get new faces to bring their characters to life on screen.
In an ever-expanding cosmic tapestry brimming with countless realities, I find myself captivated by the limitless narrative possibilities. One intriguing route is to revisit familiar landscapes, but with new characters taking center stage.
It seems like that’s the path the Marvel Cinematic Universe is heading towards, as Kevin Feige, the maestro behind it all, has hinted at potential reboots just around the corner for us eager fans.
Although the focus right now is on the debut of the Fantastic Four and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, Feige has a broader, strategic plan in mind, which seems to include a refreshed or revamped version of some sort.
MCU reboot teased with new actors to take up the mantle
Presently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is following a “seven-year strategic approach,” as per Kevin Feige’s discussion with media (including Deadline). He further mentioned, “It seems to extend up to 2032.”
Beyond that, it’s a blend of possibilities. For instance, regarding Thor, Feige anticipates Chris Hemsworth will continue in the role over a long span of various ventures. However, for certain characters, he’s already considering potential new actors to take on those roles as the existing stars move on.
After the occurrences in Avengers: Secret Wars, Feige has a prolonged plan where “single storylines” might get rewound or restarted. Essentially, this means some parts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe could be remade, while others will keep unfolding unaffected.

Feige hinted that X-Men might be the place for these changes, suggesting that fresh actors might step into the roles of characters like Iron Man or Scarlet Witch within a few years.
As a gamer, I can tell you that just because a game’s story resets the timeline doesn’t mean there’s no chance for a reunion. Maybe someday, a new player stepping into the Iron Man suit will bump into Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man from another timeline, just like in those wild crossover missions!
It’s quite plausible, and we can anticipate the initial revival projects in the coming ten years. We’ll simply need to be patient and find out which actors will take on which roles from previous movies, but let’s hope they don’t replace Terrence Howard as Rhodey. Oh, I just realized that has already been done.
