Marvel Shares First Glimpse Of Human Torch's Costume In The Fantastic Four

As a long-time Marvel enthusiast with memories of flipping through comic books under the soft glow of streetlights, I must say, the unveiling of Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm in The Fantastic Four: First Steps has me positively electrified! The costume design is a fresh take on the classic look, and it’s clear that Marvel isn’t afraid to push boundaries while staying true to the source material.

As a die-hard fan, I was eagerly anticipating the start of filming for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but alas, due to a busy production schedule, it didn’t commence until July 29, the day following Comic-Con. Despite the tight timeline, Marvel wasn’t left empty-handed at D23. During their presentation for the Fantastic Four reboot, they unveiled a sneak peek at Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch costume in the upcoming movie.

From the image provided, you’ll notice that this outfit doesn’t perfectly replicate Johnny Storm’s comic book costume. Instead, it appears to be more like a safety suit than a typical costume. However, it does retain the distinctive bright blue section and a vintage-style “4” insignia, which are reminiscent of some earlier Human Torch ensembles.

The image under discussion was taken during a brief video clip, where we see Quinn joined by his co-stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach on set for their upcoming film project. Despite being unable to take a break from shooting, they’re excited to reveal the new adaptation to fans.
