Oh, boy! As a long-time Marvel fan who has been following the Fantastic Four since their debut in 1961, I can’t contain my excitement about the upcoming trailer for Marvel Rivals on January 6th! The teaser image of the FF looks absolutely fantastic (pun intended), and I’m particularly intrigued by the redesigned versions of Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing. I must admit, Mr. Fantastic looking younger and more buff than his comic-book counterpart has me a bit confused, but I’m willing to give it a chance!

The return of the Fantastic Four to the big screen in 2025 is a momentous occasion for Marvel fans, as it marks their MCU debut after a decade-long absence. The fact that H.E.R.B.I.E., the team’s helper robot, is also featured in the promo art has me speculating whether he could be a playable character, similar to Jeff the Land Shark. Fingers crossed!

As a player of Marvel Rivals, I appreciate NetEase’s efforts to engage with the community and reward loyal fans. The free in-game gift of a chibi version of Galactica is a nice touch, and I can’t wait to see what other goodies they have in store for us. Cross-platform progression is also on the horizon, which is music to my ears!

I must say, the addition of Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival and the first Marvel Rivals patch that addressed several player concerns has made this game even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to see what other surprises NetEase has in store for us in 2025!

On a lighter note, if Mr. Fantastic can get buff like that, maybe he can help me out with my own fitness goals… or at least lend me his stretchy powers for a day!

The Marvel Universe, as we currently recognize it, began in 1961 when the Fantastic Four made their debut. Consequently, it seems fitting that the initial superheroes joining the fray for Marvel Rivals hail from the original superhero family. Recently, NetEase Games shared a sneak peek image of the Fantastic Four, hinting at a new trailer set to release on Monday, January 6.

Prepare yourself for the arrival of Marvel’s founding team, the Fantastic Four, in Marvel Rivals! Trailer release is scheduled for January 6th at 8:00 AM Pacific Standard Time / 16:00 Coordinated Universal Time. Don’t miss it! #MarvelRivals #FantasticFour #NewYorkCity

Just as the characters Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing from earlier game versions have been revamped to suit Marvel Rivals’ style, so too has Mr. Fantastic undergone a transformation – he now appears younger and more muscular than his comic-book version. Interestingly, the promotional art also highlights H.E.R.B.I.E., the Fantastic Four’s robot helper, which has sparked speculation that he might also be playable, much like Jeff the Land Shark.

One key factor behind the increased prominence of the Fantastic Four (FF) is their upcoming cinema return in 2025, which will be a decade since the poorly received 2015 reboot. The upcoming film, titled “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” will mark the team’s debut within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Previously, alternate versions of Mr. Fantastic and Human Torch made brief appearances in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and “Deadpool” and “Wolverine,” respectively.

From January 10th onwards, NetEase is providing a complimentary in-game character known as a chibi version of Galactica to commemorate reaching 20 million players. Furthermore, NetEase has hinted at the development of cross-platform progression. As part of the Winter Celebration event in Marvel Rivals, Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival – a 4v4 Arcade Mode – was introduced. Moreover, the first patch for Marvel Rivals by NetEase tackled several concerns raised by players.
